About Membership

 

To become a member of the Dacorum Synchro Swimming Club, you must also become a member of the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA).

 

ASA Membership

 

The ASA Membership provides you with insurance cover and other associated benefits.

 

If you already have ASA Membership (e.g. because you are a member of another Swimming Club), then you just have to provide documentary proof.

 

The yearly fees for joining the ASA for 2009 are:

(Fitness) 

for members of any age and level who will NOT compete in competitions (apart from low-level competitions e.g. internal)

for members of any age and level who will compete in open competitions (at local, regional or national Galas or meets).

this is for members who don't actively swim, but participate in the club in some way e.g. as a parent, a helper, a coach, committee, etc.

The ASA membership category you join is determined by your participation in the club.

 

You can upgrade to Category 2 membership at a later date if you initially join as Category 1.

 

We collect the ASA Fees, and will pay them on your behalf to the ASA.

The DSSC annual club membership (which is in addition to the ASA membership fee) allows you to participate in all the activies of the club, and subsidises administration costs.

Discounted Sportspace Membership

 

We are currently looking into obtaining discounted Sportspace membership for our members wishing to enhance their fitness level.


 

Competition Fees

 

Fees may need to be paid for entering Individual/Pair/Team competitions.


Stamina

Fees may need to be paid for Gymnastic

£  5 / hour


 

Additional Activity Fees

   from £  5 / hour

These fees would cover any costs in providing additional coaching or special events which couldn't be covered by club funds e.g. hiring track time for athletic/circuit training, gym/weight training, boot camps/intensive fitness training days, etc.


 

Sports Dietician/Performance Coach

from £  25 / hour   

We may be able to provide access to a Sports Dietician, Performance Coach for those training at a high level.

 

  

Sports Doctor

 

We hope to have an affiliated Sports Doctor, who will provide sports therapy, either for injury prevention, recovery, or to maximize performance.

   

Subsidises/Sponsorship

 

We aim to forge links with local businesses/organizations, and make the case for funding from the National Lottery.

 

In certain circumstances fees may be subsidised/sponsored from time to time - on a club, or individual basis.ll
